I purchased Sunny D as a striped amel from SMR-but clearly I got a bagain, because his father was a magnificant deep red sunglow stripe. Sunny D inherited his deep orange color from his sire but he also has a large amount of beautiful yellow contrast on the lower sides. I say he is "almost" because his pattern is just a little less uniform than I would like to see in the best sunglow stripes. The silly boy scraped the scales on the back of his neck trying to get out of his enclosure to find girls and/or food...I can't give him as much as he would llike to eat when it's not breeding season or he'll get fat, but when the girls are ovulating, he can think of nothing else but them!
