Anery Cornsnakes

Paradox Ultramel Anery
Cornsnake

This beautiful snake was produced from crossing Duma, an ultramel carrying a hidden gene for anery, to a coral snow. He is a paradox--a term loosely used to explain colors that shouldn't be present--because of the patches of red coloration on his saddles and sides. The remainder of the clutch were either snows, ultramels, or ultramel anerys, all of which would be expected from that cross. I call him "Bricks" because his coloration reminds me of used brick.
This season I bred him back to his mother, and all of the progeny are either snows (het or homo for coral) or ultramel anerys. Maybe the next generation will reproduce his unusual coloration.
