Normal Colored Cornsnakes

Classic or Normal Cornsnake

Almost all of our normal colored cornsnakes carry the hidden gene for bloodred. Even though it isn't fully expressed, the dark bloodred influence imparts a darker, saturated burgandy overwash to the snake, which intensifies as it gets older. Many of these are very beautiful snakes!

Ultramel

An ultramel has only a partial dose of black pigment. Borders are gray, and the ground and saddles are brighter than normals, and the borders are gray instead of black. Younger snakes often display a ruby iris with a blue pupil. Ultramels can highly variable in appearence from one to another.
Duma is my male ultramel, derived from SMR stock. He was especially selected for his orderly pattern and intense yellow on the upper part of his body. The influence of his elegant pattern can be seen in many of his progeny.

Wide Border Ultramel

I bred Duma to a high white reverse okeetee and produced this unique girl who we have named "Hiawatha". We are hopeful that she'll be ready to breed in 2009, and that we can reproduce her crisp pattern and contrasting colors.
